A message from our founding pastor and search team

Communication from Search Team Lead:

Hello Friends,

I hope the new year is off to a good beginning for you and your family. As the leader of the Search Team for our new lead pastor, I’m writing to give you an update from the team, and to tell you how to stay connected and informed as the journey unfolds.

Prayer is such a large part of the search process and is another great way for you to get involved with the search. We will be letting you know about upcoming prayer events for our search soon.

Your CityChurch Search Team members are Lorelle Bell, Lynsey Berry, Allison Bolet Cafaro, Matt Hemsley, Don Kelly, Sushil Gupta, and myself, Lynn Craig.

There are several stages of the search process. Currently, the Search Team is in the first stage which is building the right foundations to guide our search. Then we will begin to identify candidates and interview them. The last stage will be for the search team to present the final candidates to CityChurch’s Senior Leadership Team who will make the decision on who will be hired.

Part of that last stage includes the final candidates being brought to CityChurch Charlotte where you will have an opportunity to meet them.

This is an exciting season for CityChurch. We are looking forward to traveling this journey with you.

Finally, do please be praying for Pastor Al and Niki as they follow the Holy Spirit into where He is leading them.

Prayer Requests from the Search Team

Pray for unity for our congregation, our staff, our senior leadership team, and the pastor search team during this transition.
Pray that God would use this transition to deepen our faith in Him and to develop in us a habit of congregational prayer.
Pray for God to reveal to us His vision for the future of CityChurch.
Pray for the search team and the senior leadership team as they wrap up phase-1 of the search process (Build Foundations) and finalize the church profile and candidate profile documents.
Pray for God to reveal the CityChurch opportunity to our future lead pastor.
Pray for peace and wisdom for Al & Niki during this transition.
