A Confident Heart

The Bible invites us to trust God. It was what Israel’s prophets, like Jeremiah, constantly called the nation back to whenever they turned away from God. But what does it actually mean to trust God? Does it mean nothing will ever go wrong, nothing bad will ever happen to us? And if it doesn’t mean that, how can we really have a confident heart?

Scripture References: Jeremiah 15:5-18

From Series: "Heart Matters...How's Yours?"

It is often said that...the heart of the matter is actually a matter of the heart! In Matthew 15, Jesus says – ‘ ...the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them. For out of the heart come evil thoughts—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander’. The heart is significant in influencing our lives and for that reason the bible has a lot to say about it.
