Making the Most of Your Time!
In this talk we ask the question ‘Why is time such a challenge in our society today’? and explore what answers the Christian faith brings us to make sure we can make the most of our time each and every day?
As our busy Summer begins we invite you to take a look at “Relational Evangelism”. Our hope is that through the series you will not only get practical knowledge of how to move forward in evangelism but also increase your heart for those that have not been reached as well. Oh yeah and bring a friend!
God promises to be with us in many ways. Over the next few weeks Al will lead us into 3 of them: through His voice, His presence, and His Spirit. Follow along with us through the Gospel of John for what is sure to be both a practical and supernatural experience of God with us!
Do you know that your story matters? It does. Looking at Psalm 139, we will consider how our stories our sacred because they are written in God’s book. Ultimately we will see that our stories matter because as we recognize our stories, we see ourselves, we see others, and we see our God.
Over the next few weeks we will be looking into where our ‘Treasure’ really is and how to take hold of it looking at the parable of the rich fool from Luke 12 and how to focus on living rather than having. We will also take a look at vision using an example from Philippians and how we as a Church can join.
This week, we take the opportunity to reflect on the power and place of worship in our faith and in our community. Looking at the book of Revelation, we explore what worship is and see how, by entering into it, we can experience heaven right here and now in our lives.
Wondering how to reach out to strangers? Building bridges to touch those God is bringing to our door step? Let us learn from Christ and what he is doing today to reach out to the unreached, marginalized, and those so different from us in our community. Missions begin at home.
Paul describes the message of the cross as ‘foolishness to those who are perishing’. We look at how that might be, what alternate wisdom is out there and why, ultimately, Paul concludes that for those who accept it, that same message is actually the life giving power of God!
We are diving into the book of Proverbs as we journey to Easter in this Lent season. In recognizing the importance of pursuing wisdom, we’ll discover how to lay hold of the rich teachings in this book as we, individually and as a church, seek to become more and more like Jesus to this world.
As we begin the New Year together, we look at the beginning of our faith through the remarkable life of Abraham and explore the impact of God’s call on his journey. Could we, like Abraham, build our lives on the call of God for us in 2018 and seek to be a blessing to this world.
This Christmas season at CityChurch is, as ever, filled with lively and joyful services as we uncover “The Sounds of Christmas.” Songs of old and the sounds of “God with us” will be sung and taught about in this series as we celebrate the birth of Jesus.
Our new series Being On Mission with God dives into the book of Jonah as we seek to follow the call from God to expand to two services. We’ll be looking at what it means to follow God’s call both individually and as a church while learning from Jonah’s story of finding courage in obedience.
Each fall, we take a period of 40 days to focus on a study that we can use to build our faith. This year, we are examining some gritty questions of life to equip each of us to put a deeper trust in God and understand the riches of His ways spoken to us through the Bible.
